Bearded Collie overview

An ancient breed originating in Great Britain for use as a sheep herder. Good with children and other dogs, but not easily obedience trained. This breed is suitable for the urban environment and cold climates. Its long, shaggy coat will require regular grooming.

Friendly and exuberant by nature, they need an environment which is a consistent provider of physical and mental stimulation. The ideal owner would have an abundance of time and energy to spend with their dog.
