Bergamasco overview

Originated in the Bergamo region of Italy for use as a livestock guard. Adult coat is long and corded and makes a good protection from harsh weather. An affectionate and loyal companion, its natural guarding qualities do not always make it good with other dogs. Needs exercise; an urban environment would be unsuitable.
