American Cocker Spaniel overview
American adaptation of the English Cocker Spaniel. The breed is gentle and a good companion. American Cocker Spaniels do, however, retain their hunting instincts and are a lively breed. Thus they require reasonable exercise. The profuse coat requires daily grooming, especially if the pet dog is to look anything like the exhibited specimen. The breed does have a predisposition to inherited disease.
