Miniature Schnauzer overview

The Miniature Schnauzer originated in Germany as a ratting dog and is the miniaturization of the Giant Schnauzer and Standard Schnauzer. They have a terrier attitude, yet reasonably calm and good with children and other dogs. Its propensity to bark also makes it a good guard dog. Although it sheds very little, its coat does require very regular grooming. Less noisy and feisty than some of the other terriers, it is suitable to the urban environment but does not like hotter climates.
