Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier overview

The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is an old Irish breed only relatively recently recognized. Bred as a general purpose dog, these fit, hardy dogs make excellent house dogs. Original used as a farm dog, and for rabbiting, also occasionally fox or badger hunting. They are not aggressive but will defend their territory if pressed. The coat does not shed and therefore requires some trimming.
