Swedish Vallhund overview
Originated in Sweden as a cattle drover, ratter and guarding dog. Is thought to share common ancestry with the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and has a similar temperament and look.
Short-legged, energetic and tough, it makes a very good multipurpose farm dog. Mostly good with other dogs, but not children; make good watch dogs. Suitable for the urban environment and colder climates but does require a lot of exercise.

Colours, markings and patterns
UK
Steel gray, grayish/brown, grayish/yellow, reddish/yellow, reddish/brown with darker guard hairs on back, neck, and sides of body; lighter hair same shade of color as mentioned above is desirable on muzzle, throat, chest, belly, buttocks, feet and hocks.
Instead of these lighter shades, white markings are acceptable but never in excess of one third of total colour.
